I just wanted to say a few things…
Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. It can be overwhelming to decide.
I believe that when you’ve decided on a particular diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You may just end up back at the beginning of your journey.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
You tend to develop pretty powerful cravings for the foods and drinks that your specific eating plan won’t allow you to consume, which a competing plan fully allows, and perhaps even encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s call a spade a spade… Culinary videos can be pretty knee-weakening. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Makes sense to me. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
It’s standard, conventional wisdom. And it’s for good reason that it is!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
