There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
It’s for this reason that, when you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may very well find yourself in the position of starting all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Does this make sense?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
Foods that one diet doesn’t allow you to consume, an entirely different plan permits, and perhaps even encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s call a spade a spade… Food videos are, in many instances, pretty darn seductive. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
It’s the most popular weight loss model in existence. It probably earned its right to be!
Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
