Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
As such, once a particular diet has been chosen, and it’s time to start menu planning, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. It’ll likely take you back to the beginning.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s call a spade a spade… Food videos can be pretty darn will-weakening. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
You’ll probably recognize this as common weight loss advice. And it’s for good reason that it is!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!

Blackberry Cobbler Filling
1 lb Blackberries
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1/3 cup Monk fruit erythritol sweetener blend (or 1/4 cup if you want it less sweet)
2 tbsp Vital Proteins Grass-fed Gelatin
1 cup Almond flour
1/4 cup Monk fruit erythritol sweetener blend (or 3 tbsp if you want it less sweet)
1/2 tsp Gluten-free baking powder
1/4 tsp Sea salt
1/4 cup Coconut oil (can also use butter or ghee if not dairy-free)
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, toss together the berries, lemon juice, and erythritol. Sprinkle (don’t dump) a tablespoon gelatin over the mixture and mix to combine, then repeat with the other tablespoon gelatin.
Transfer the berries to the bottom of a glass or non-stick 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan.
In another large bowl in the microwave, or a saucepan on the stove, melt the coconut oil. Remove from heat.
Stir the vanilla extract into the melted coconut oil. Stir in the almond flour, erythritol, baking powder, and sea salt. The dough should be crumbly, but buttery and a little moist.
Crumble the dough over the top of the berries in the pan, leaving some small spaces of berries shining through.
Bake the cobbler for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden. Rest at least 10 minutes before serving, or cool to room temperature for even thicker cobbler.
Serving size: 1/9 of entire recipe
If you serve the cobbler in 3 squares by squares in each direction, a serving is a 2.5×2.5″ square.
