Here’s the story…
There are obviously many diet plans in the world. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
That’s why I believe that, the moment a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You’re likely to end up needing to start over.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So you’d want to compile videos ONLY related to raw-food veganism, if that happens to be your chosen diet plan.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And there’s really only one reason why…
On calorie-restriction, you crave high calorie foods. On a low-sugar diet, you crave sweets. The grass always seems greener on the other side. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s be honest. Meal prep videos are often extremely knee-weakening. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
You’ll probably recognize this as standard, conventional wisdom. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
