Diet plans clearly abound. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
I believe that as soon as you’ve decided on a particular diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. It will take you back to the drawing board.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Pretty basic stuff, right?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And there’s really only one reason why…
On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And let’s tell the truth here. Cooking videos are usually quite tempting. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Makes sense when you really think about it. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
No doubt that this is standard, conventional wisdom. And this is for good reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And you may not want to play around with those.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!

Chicken and Marinade
12 oz – Chicken (cut up into bite size pieces)
2 tsp – Soy Sauce
1 tsp – Shaoxing Chinese Wine (or dry white wine or dry sherry, NOT cooking sherry)
1/8 tsp – Granulated Garlic
1/8 tsp – White Pepper
1 Large Head of Cauliflower
4 – Eggs (Beaten)
2 TBS – Canola Oil
1/4 Cup – Yellow Onion (Chopped)
1/4 Cup – Frozen Peas and Carrots
2 tsp – Toasted Sesame Oil
2 TBS – Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp – Salt
1/2 tsp – White Pepper
1 Packet – Splenda Sweetener
Combine chicken, soy sauce, wine, garlic and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
Let the chicken marinade for 10-15 minutes.
Cut the cauliflower off the head into florets.
Place all of the cauliflower in a large food processor or into several batches if you have a smaller one.
Pulse the food processor several times until the cauliflower resembles rice. DO NOT over pulse.
In a wok or large skillet over medium heat add 1 TBS of oil and scramble the eggs until fully cooked and chopped into little pieces.
Remove the eggs and set aside
Increase the heat to high, add 1 TBS of oil and stir fry the chicken for 2-3 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients and cook 4-5 minutes. DO NOT overcook or the cauliflower will turn to mush.
