These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.

Therefore, as soon as a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. It will bring you back to the very beginning.

You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.

I cannot overstate how important this is.

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…

Items that one program prevents you from consuming, some totally different eating plan completely encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s tell the truth here. Recipe videos are, in many instances, quite tempting. 😉

Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.

I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉

You’ll probably recognize this as common weight loss advice. It probably earned its right to be!

Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.

Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!

Bring yourself over to the Weight Loss recipes category page on the site. Explore the great videos I’ve already compiled for you.

Then, bookmark your favorite recipe videos right in your own browser for easy access. What I would do is compile these into an entirely new folder which can be called “Weight Loss Cooking Vids,” or something else that you’ll remember.

RECIPES

Fruit & Yogurt Parfait
4 ounces vegan yogurt
1/2 cup granola
1 cup any fruit you like

Add ingredients into mason jar and mix. You can also add in coconut flakes, nuts, flax seeds or whatever else you like.

Spinach Artichoke Spread/Sauce
1 can canellini (white) beans – rinsed and drained
1 tsp each (garlic powder, onion powder)
1/2 tsp salt and red pepper flakes (optional)
1 can artichoke hearts – rinsed and drained
4 c spinach
1/4 onion diced
1 cup nutritional yeast
Blend canellini beans until smooth. In a pan over medium heat, add in onion, spices, spinach, and artichoke and cook until spinach is wilted.
Add everything back into blender and pulse blend until smooth but still i bit chunky. Add in 1 cup nutritional yeast and serve over pasta or as a spread for sandwiches.

Taquitos
1 can fat free refried beans (no lard)
12 corn tortillas
diced veggies you like (i use onion and jalapeno)

Spread 2 tbsp beans over each tortilla and add veggies in the middle. Roll into taquitos and put in a tupperware. Freeze.

When you are ready to eat them, place them over medium heat covered in a pan and flip after 7 minutes. Cook another 5-7 minutes or until the center is warm. Serve with salsa or guacamole.
