So let’s chat a bit…
There are obviously many diet plans in the world. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
As such, when a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It will bring you back to the very beginning.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On low-sugar, you crave sugar. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s make no mistake about it… Cooking videos can be extremely tempting. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
This, of course, is conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
