There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
So once the choice has been made, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. It may just bring you back to the beginning.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
On low-sugar, you crave sweets. On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s be honest here. Recipe videos can be completely knee-weakening. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
No doubt that this is the most popular weight loss model in existence. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And you may not want to play around with those.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
