Okay, here’s the story…

Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.

I believe that once you’ve committed to a diet, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You’re quite likely to find yourself in the position of starting all over again.

You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.

I cannot overstate how important this is.

I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…

You usually develop a pretty powerful appetite for whichever items your specific diet prevents you from consuming, which some other protocol 100 percent permits, and perhaps even encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s tell the truth. Recipe videos can oftentimes be quite tough to resist. 😉

But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.

Seems like pretty responsible advice. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.

This, of course, is conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!

Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.

Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
