Corned Beef Hash is a very popular and delicious Classic breakfast, lunch and dinner dish in Diner’s and in households throughout the world. It’s filling and really easy to make, but it’s not carb healthy for those of use on low carb diets. In this cooking video I will show you how to make it low carb, keto and gluten free friendly!

Alright, so let’s proceed…

Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.

It’s for this reason that, once a particular diet has been chosen, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may just end up back at the starting line.

It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So you’d want to compile videos ONLY related to raw-food veganism, if that happens to be your chosen diet plan.

Does this make sense?

I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. Why did I do this? Only one reason…

On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. On low-sugar, you crave sweets. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s tell the truth. Cooking videos are, in many instances, quite irresistible. 😉

Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.

Seems like pretty responsible advice. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉

You’ll probably recognize this as the most popular weight loss model in existence. As well it should be!

Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.

Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.

3 lb – Corned Beef
2 lb – Daikon Radish (peeled and cut into small dice) (or Russet potatoes if non-low-carb)
1 Large – Yellow Onion (chopped)
1/4 Stick – Butter (cut into pads)
salt, pepper, granulated garlic to taste
In a large pot cover corned beef with cold water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium low and cook corned beef until tender 3-3.5 hours.
Removed corned beef from water and let cool.
Remove excess fat, cut into cubes or finely chop, your preference.
Boil Daikon radish in salted water for 10-12 minutes or until fork tender.
Drain and pat dry.
In a large skillet over medium heat add corned beef, onion, radish, salt, pepper, garlic and mix well until the fax begins to render from the corned beef.
Press the mixture down into the bottom of the skillet to help form a crispy golden brown crust, add pads of butter to the top and let it cook for 5 minutes untouched.
After five minutes, mix again and repeat 3-4 times until it reaches your desired golden brown and crispiness.
Serve with poached or over easy fried eggs.
