There are obviously many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!

Therefore, as soon as a particular diet has been chosen, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You may wind up in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.

You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.

Know what I mean?

Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

On low-sugar, you crave sweets. On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s call a spade a spade… Cooking videos are oftentimes unbelievably tempting. 😉

If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.

Seems pretty logical, really. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.

Clearly, this is the world’s most popular weight loss advice. It probably earned its right to be!

Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
