Alright, so let’s proceed…
There are obviously many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
So once a particular diet has been chosen, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It may just have you returning to the starting line.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
This is extremely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
That which one plan permits, and perhaps even encourages, some totally different plan is probably going to forbid. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s tell the truth here. Meal prep videos are oftentimes ridiculously hard to resist. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
It’s standard, conventional advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
