Pasteles en Hojas are a traditional cultural dish in several Latin American countries.
In Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean coast of Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Panama, it is similar to a Mexican tamale. Often made in large quantities to last the entire holiday season.

Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
For this reason, once you’ve made your choice, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. You may wind up in a position where you need to start all over from scratch.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
Food and drinks that one diet plan prevents you from consuming, another, seemingly equally legitimate program completely permits, and perhaps even encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s call a spade a spade… Recipe videos are, in many instances, extremely will-weakening. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
This is standard, conventional advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And you may not want to play around with those.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
