Diet plans clearly abound. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.

As such, once a particular diet has been chosen, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You’re quite likely to wind up in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.

It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.

Know what I mean?


I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…

On low-calorie, you crave calories. On a low-fat diet, you crave fat. And one thing that’s clear… Food-based videos are, in many instances, ridiculously difficult to resist. 😉

Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.

I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.

This, of course, is the most popular weight loss model in existence. It probably earned its right to be!

Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.

Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!

Nutritional Value per slice (recipe makes 7 thick ones)
230 calories, 1g carbs (3g fibre), 5g protein, 22g fat


50g (1/2 cup) Fine Almond Flour
18g (2 tbsp) Coconut Flour
7g (1 tsbp) Inulin Powder
45g (3 tbsp) powdered sweetener
1/4 tsp xanthan gum
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp lemon juice
110g (1/2 cup) Unsalted Butter (or Ghee)
3 eggs, divided

120ml (1/2 cup) Double / Heavy Cream

Icing Ingredients

1/3 cup / 75ml Double / Heavy Cream

2tbsp / 30g softened butter (or ghee)
1tbsp / 15g icing sweetener
1tbsp lemon juice
