These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
As such, once you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It will take you back to the beginning.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
This is extremely important.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
That which one diet doesn’t allow, a totally different program 100% encourages. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s tell the truth here. Cooking videos are, in many cases, 100 percent hard to resist. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
Clearly, this is standard, conventional advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
