Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.

For this reason, as soon as you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You’re very likely to wind up needing to start over.

For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.

The importance of this cannot be overstated.

Boost Ketosis

Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…

On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On low-sugar, you crave sweets. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s not BS ourselves. Culinary videos are oftentimes unbelievably tough to resist. 😉

If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.

I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.

No doubt that this is standard, conventional advice. As well it should be!

But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.

Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!

INGREDIENTS

PROTEIN CAKE
2 scoops Protein Powder
1/4 cup oat fiber
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
2 large eggs
1/3 cup Cream Cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
4 tbsp Butter
10 drops Liquid Stevia
1 tsp vanilla extract

VANILLA FROSTING
1/4 cup Butter
1/2 cup swerve confectioner
1 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

CHOCOLATE FROSTING
1/4 cup Butter
1/2 cup swerve confectioner
2 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

CAKE
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Combine room temperature butter, cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl.

Add eggs, vanilla extract, liquid stevia and combine well.
Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Make sure not to over mix! Lumps are okay.
Pour mixture into a loaf pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

Allow to cool and then cut in half length wise. Cut two halves into 4 equal pieces and then 4 more equal pieces to resemble 8 mini cakes as seen above! Enjoy!

ICING

Combine all ingredients until smooth.
Store in fridge.
