1 cup heavy cream

1 cup water

¼ tsp. salt

½ cup granulated sugar substitute

2 tsp. xanthan gum

2 egg yolks

2 tsp. butter

1 tsp. vanilla


In a small sauce pan whisk together the cream, salt, water and sweetener. Sprinkle the gum over the surface and whisk in. Whisk in the egg yolks. Heat over a low heat stirring continuously until thick. Whisk in the butter and vanilla. Divide among 4 small dessert dishes. Chill before serving.


Fat:  34 g,  Carbs:  20 g, Net Carbs: 5 g, Protein:  33 g, Total Calories: 499 Calories

Moving on…

There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.

For this reason, once the choice has been made, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You just may end up starting all over.

For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So you’d want to compile videos ONLY related to raw-food veganism, if that happens to be your chosen diet plan.

Does this make sense?

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…

On a low-fat diet, you crave fat. On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. The grass always seems greener on the other side. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s not lie to ourselves. Food-based videos are, in many instances, pretty damned will-weakening. 😉

But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.

Seems pretty logical, really. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.

No doubt that this is common-sense weight loss. And it’s for good reason that it is!

Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.

At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
