There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.

Therefore, when you’ve made your choice, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may very well wind up needing to start all over.

Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.

Know what I mean?

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. And there’s really only one reason why…

You’re going to generally crave whichever foods your specific eating plan disallows, which a competing lifestyle permits, and perhaps even encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s not kid ourselves. Cooking videos are oftentimes pretty damned tough to resist. 😉

Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.

I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).

It’s standard, conventional wisdom. And this is for good reason!

Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.

Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
