Here’s the story…
There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
It’s for this reason that, as soon as you’ve decided on a particular diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. It’ll probably return you to the beginning.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On low-sugar, you crave sugar. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s make no mistake about it… Food-based videos are oftentimes pretty darn will-weakening. 😉
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This is surely conventional weight loss advice. As well it should be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.

2 tablespoons almond flour
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon heavy cream
1 tablespoon low carb sweetener
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
US Customary – Metric
Get Ingredients Powered by Chicory
Mix together almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt in small bowl. Stir in blueberries. Set aside.
Melt coconut oil in small microwaveable bowl. Stir in heavy cream, egg, sweetener, and extracts into melted coconut.
Beat dry ingredients into liquid ingredients with fork until well combined.
Divide batter between two lightly buttered ramekins.
Microwave on high from 1 1/2 minutes to 2 minutes or until cake is no longer wet. It took about 2 minutes to bake in my 900 watt microwave.
Serve in ramekins or remove to serve.
