These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
I believe that the moment the choice has been made, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You just may end up in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
You will typically have cravings for whichever foods your current eating plan won’t allow you to consume, which an entirely different diet plan 100% permits. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s call a spade a spade… Cooking videos are often pretty damned will-shattering. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
It’s common weight loss advice. It probably earned its right to be!
Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And you may not want to play around with those.

lil carb Peanut Butter Mug Cake- Serves 1
3 Tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Truvia
whipped cream for topping (optional)
Mix all ingredients except the whipped cream in a mug.
Mix everything really well to incorporate the egg. I mixed for about 45 seconds.
It should look like batter.
Microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Allow to cool for about a minute.
Top with whipped cream or a pinch more Truvia and Enjoy!
