Let’s talk…

Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.

As such, the moment you’ve decided on a particular diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You just may wind up having to start all over from scratch.

Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.

This is extremely important.

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

You’re going to typically crave those foods that your diet program forbids you to consume, which some completely different protocol 100 percent encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s not lie to ourselves. Food videos can be unbelievably knee-weakening. 😉

Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.

I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.

No doubt that this is common-sense weight loss. And it probably has that designation for a reason!

Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.

Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
