Let’s chat…

Diet plans clearly abound. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!

Therefore, the moment you’ve made your choice, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It’ll probably return you to the drawing board.

Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.

I cannot overstate how important this is.

In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

You will generally develop cravings for whatever it happens to be that your particular diet program doesn’t let you consume, which some other diet fully permits. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s call a spade a spade… Culinary videos are usually undeniably seductive. 😉

Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.

Makes sense. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉

This is common weight loss advice. And this is for good reason!

But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And you may not want to play around with those.

Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
