ears to increase your metabolism that’s nonsense I doubt this woman went from this to that by massaging her ears while watching Nightmare on Elm Street so in this video I’m gonna present ten useful weight loss hacks guaranteed to actually work first things first if you want to lose weight fast you have to cut refined sugars and starches out of your diet this alone will help you quickly lose pounds of excess fat and inches off of your waist without getting all sciency when you consume carbohydrates like soda candy refined sugars and donuts your body not only produces more fat but it also slows down the burning of fat carbs present in your body hold on to a ton of water weight as well so basically if you cut down your carb intake your body is forced to burn up the carbs you’ve been holding on to for energy and after all of that is burned up your body has no other choice but to burn your fat for energy by putting fewer carbs in your body you will turn into a fat-burning machine the standard American diet has over 300 grams of carbs per day to cut body fat fast eat 100 to 150 grams of carbs per day and make sure you stay away from junk foods and choose unprocessed foods like meat fish eggs fruits vegetables and nuts this will allow your body that’s happened to your fat storage for energy inside note even if the food is healthy it still counts toward your daily carb intake number to incorporate more protein in your diet protein slows down digestion which means you’ll feel full and satisfied for longer and its appetite reducing so you’ll end up eating fewer calories throughout the day you can control bad food cravings and overeating by consuming protein rich foods such as Greek yogurt eggs cottage cheese milk chicken steak turkey breast fish beans peanut butter tofu and the list goes on and on studies have shown that eating two eggs for breakfast can boost weight loss by 65% compared to eating the same amount of calorie from carbohydrates like a bagel by eating protein early in the day you’re starting your morning off right and you will be less hungry throughout the day number three lower your caloric intake weight loss is a numbers game you need to burn more calories than you eat every day to lose weight it’s that simple if you lower your carb intake and increase your protein consumption as I mentioned in the last two steps then you will naturally take in fewer calories per day anyway because you won’t be craving foods that contribute to weight gain and you will be incorporating more high protein foods that will fill you up and suppress your appetite there are 3,500 calories and a pound of fat to lose a pound of pure body fat each week you need to shave off 500 calories from your daily caloric intake each day 500 times 7 equals 3,500 most people need 2,000 calories to not gain or lose a single pound so to lose that one pound of weight in seven days you need to consume 1,500 calories per day I’ll explain how you can burn calories with exercise which will help you lose more than a pound of fat every seven days in just a moment number four cut out snacking snacking can break your weight loss efforts the truth is you should focus more on eating three healthy filling meals and not so much on snack foods that don’t fill you up any way for it to be considered a snack it needs to be under 150 calories and most snack foods far exceed that number sure you can eat a small piece of fruit or some veggies but that will count toward your daily caloric intake and quite frankly won’t curb your hunger enough to make you eat less at your next meal so if you’re aiming to lose weight fast cut out snacking completely number 5 limit your energy drink in Starbucks consumption actually try to limit any drink that isn’t water the last thing you want to do is drink your calories number 6 count and write down your calories research indicates that we are terrible at estimating calorie counts which is why if you want to lose weight fast you must get in the habit of counting your calories you need to keep a food journal handy 3 nutrition labels and jot down the foods you eat so you can add up how many calories you eat per day write down every morsel of food that passes your lips and you may be surprised at just how many calories you are actually eating every day number 7 cardio exercise if you want real results then exercise is just as important as diet exercise is great for boosting your metabolism when you have a fast metabolism your body’s burning calories at a higher rate even when you’re resting which makes it harder to gain weight in the first place you should aim for 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week for weight loss but the amount of exercise you do will depend on how much weight you want to lose there’s no specific exercise you have to do but it needs to be an activity that breaks a good sweat cardio exercises that burn the most calories are jumping jacks and rope jumping jumping jacks burn 100 calories in 10 minutes while rope jumping burns as much as 130 calories in 10 minutes now if those exercises get to be a little difficult for you then fast paced walking mixed in with a little jogging may be the way to go as long as you sweat and keep your heart rate up for the duration of your exercise session then you had a good fat burning workout number eight drink more water while water doesn’t have anything magical in it that burns fat it certainly will help you with your weight loss efforts drinking water means you’re not drinking other beverages that have calories in them drink in a glass or two of water 20 minutes before a meal may help you feel fuller resulting in you eating less food and consuming fewer calories in fact a 2010 study conducted by the American Chemical Society confirms that people that consume 2 cups of water right before eating a meal ate between 75 and 90 fewer calories during that meal not only that but people that drink more water throughout the day have more energy because they are more hydrated and won’t feel too tired to workout I feel tired is the most common excuse people used to skip out on exercise so cut the excuses fight fatigue and stay energized by keeping yourself adequately hydrated number 9 get enough sleep having poor sleep habits can cause you to gain weight for one your metabolism does not function properly when you’re sleep-deprived secondly you have the hunger hormone ghrelin that tells you when to eat when you have insufficient sleep you have more ghrelin you also have the hormone leptin that tells you when to stop eating when you don’t get enough sleep you have less leptin more ghrelin plus less left and eat is weight gain in a nutshell get enough sleep and finally number 10 believe weight loss is not only a physical challenge but it’s a mental challenge as well no amount of weight loss advice you hear won’t matter if you don’t change your attitude you can’t change your body without changing your mind a huge part of losing weight is believing you can do it and realize it it’s not going to happen overnight you have to keep in mind it took more than a day to put the weight on so it’s gonna take more than a day to take it off whenever you feel like winning just ask yourself why you started in the first place and believe that you can persevere after all we all have choices in life losing weight is hard being fat is hard it’s time to pick your heart you have to set realistic goals and just do it don’t think don’t wait just do it you’ll be amazed at your results measure yourself instead of the scale because I know the scale isn’t really an accurate picture of your progress you know so save those shorts and try to fit back in those shorts instead of just put the call on hold if you know it’s going to be a long one put on your tennis shoes and go outside because about time you hang up the phone after the conversation is done you realize that you just worked out without even knowing it that was like an hour long walk and it didn’t even feel like it and you got privacy with your phone call if you’re in school and you’re busy or you work a lot and you’re busy or you just don’t really feel like cooking whenever like you’re hungry oh just press if this is going to be the best thing that you ever did if you are not already doing this basically you want to spend at the beginning of the week spend like an hour or two making one big giant healthy meal then you want to split that big giant healthy meal into a bunch of small healthy meals then you just put them in the fridge like you would leftovers you can make enough for two days you can make enough for five days you can make enough for seven days it’s up to you then the next time that you’re at school or work or you’re just feeling really lazy you won’t be tempted to order Chipotle because your food will be ready for you to eat if you’re trying to make healthier food options you’re going to have cravings yeah you’re going to want that pizza you’re going to want that that’s spaghetti but you don’t have to deprive yourself completely just try to choose a healthier version for instance if you want pizza maybe make like a portobello mushroom pizza instead it’s actually pretty bomb instead of making a big giant bowl of processed pasta with sauce you can make a big giant bowl of zucchini noodles with sauce and by replacing your favorite like unhealthy foods with a healthy option it’ll keep you sane if you plan to go to the gym it’s easy to bail on yourself because you don’t got to answer to yourself if you make plans with a friend you’re going to be like seventy percent less likely to bail I kind of just made that number up but it sounds right so just try to find someone to make plans with sometimes this way like you’re more motivated to actually go out and it’s more fun honestly when you are on this healthy lifestyle journey you’re gonna cheat it’s okay yeah you don’t got to be perfect but one thing you can do is take your notebook or whatever you’re going to use and write down how you felt after you cheated did you feel sluggish did you feel yucky did you feel tired as you regret it do you feel guilty do you feel great how did you feel this way next time you’re trying to be good and you really want to cheat you can refer back to that letter you wrote yourself and see if it’s really worth it we’re putting our short shorts sometimes we’re going to get a little insecure about the dimples and imperfections although they are totally normal if you are feeling like this try and at-home spray tan this is honestly well my favorite things in the entire world because they create to the illusion of a more toned leg or more toned abs without actually doing anything to get it and it’s not makeup so it doesn’t get all over the place I like the at-home spray tans now a lot of times we overeat because we think that we’re hungry when we’re actually thirsty so a cool trick to do it’s kind of an old one but worth repeating is drinking a large glass of water 20 minutes before you eat because as it settles in your stomach you start to feel a lot less hungry usually you were also thirsty as well just didn’t know it until you drink the water alright friends if you’re trying to meet some goals but you don’t want to be like you know miserable the channel still have not gotten used to that so around this time every year I try and do a health and fitness video because I know that a lot of you have resolutions or I’m getting fit and making healthier choices in your life and to be completely honest my life has been such an up-and-down of being happy with my body and getting motivated to work out literally this is I’m like here and then I’m like here and I’m here and I’m here I’m like just like this is this is me but in the process I have learned so much about fitness and tips and tricks and some secrets to getting motivated and staying motivated so hopefully in this video you learn something new about getting fit and getting down booty in shape but at the end of the day it’s all about loving the booty that you have even before looks like this this is this or this oh wait I guess I guess we didn’t love you don’t really have a booty okay well we’re gonna work on your booty alright so ten figures to get at it live do it I can of pop or soda can easily have over 50 grams of sugar and over 200 calories a super super easy first step to eating clean is to cut the sugary drinks and to be honest I always prefer to eat my calories opposed to drinking them anyways and even the diet drinks can have harmful chemicals and artificial sweeteners so swap out your sugary drinks for carbonated water fruit flavored water or even coconut water switching to bubbly water has been what’s worked best for me and it like almost almost tricks my mouth into thinking it’s pop so I know when you’re in a time crunch it’s so easy to leave the house though eating breakfast but there are so so so many studies that have shown that eating breakfast kick starts your day with more energy and improved mood and can help get your metabolism going earlier in the day Plus like honestly I am such a hangry girl when I don’t eat in the morning so breakfast is always a must for me and when I say breakfast I wish I was talking about Eggos and frosted flakes and pop-tarts but personally I like turkey bacon fruit and egg white we’re all 11 I’m starving you take me seeing my progress and hard work on a calendar is so so so motivating it pushes me to continue to work out any clean and I actually get excited to document another day where I hit my day-to-day goals and it also helps to organize your workouts so like in terms of how often you might have worked out your legs and done some cardio and seeing how far I’ve come even if it’s only a few consecutive days of living healthier inspires me to push myself each following day [Music] to be completely honest my natural habitat is on the couch in a onesie with ceiling ttan watch Netflix YouTube hanging out with you guys on Twitter and snapchat like I could really do this all day long but one day I had an epiphany during a Bob’s Burgers marathon and realized that if I had just worked out for one episode that would have been 22 minutes of physical activity that’s it think about how easy it is to watch a whole season of a show in one day and if you had just spent one episode of that show working out you’d be that much closer to your fitness goal it’s a totally new perspective but it’s really really helped me setting small goals is what is probably one of my favorites I used to think that just because I had one bad cheat day I had to give up and we just go on a total junk food rampage but every day is a new day try to do one activity every day eat one healthy meal a day swap out one favorite junk food for something cleaner there are so many ways you can start small and it’s just so much more realistic to set more frequent smaller goals and milestones for your fitness journey to the moon playing loud in the speakers I am terrible at staying hydrated just cuz I pee so often but water is so so so so so important for your body we are literally made of water and we needed to keep our bodies healthy almost every cell in the body needs water to function properly so that’s like pretty important so I like to DIY measured water bottles to keep myself on track and add a little fruit to keep it flavored there are seriously like 4 bajillion good reasons to drink water and this is a sign class so I don’t to bore you but seriously water is so good for you eating clean is one of the most important elements of getting fit there’s a saying that abs are made in the kitchen so you could do 100 crunches a day and not see any results if you’re still eating processed fatty foods a friend once told me that when you’re looking at the ingredients of something if it’s got a list of ingredients longer than three or four things it’s probably not that great for you so do some research on your favorite foods and find out a little more about what you should keep or kick from your diet I used to think that if I was eating salad that meant that I could eat like a trough of salad like a straight-up trough and I was so wrong I got this little kitty plate at Target and it’s honestly so helpful to help forking out my grains protein and veggies you want to make sure you’re getting enough sustenance but it’s also so easy to overeat and load your plate even when it’s healthy foods there’s so much you can learn about your body your diet your workouts and everything in between understanding what makes you tick and what makes you feel best can make such a big difference in your life when I found out that I was lactose intolerant I went to me like the biggest bloated marshmallow everyday even when I was eating super clean to eating mostly dairy-free and feeling great learn new recipes workout so you actually enjoy doing and a little make getting fit so much more fun okay you are not human if you don’t have occasional cheat days and that doesn’t mean gorge yourself on everything in sight but it definitely means that you can and should treat yourself I have the biggest sweet tooth ever and I would go absolutely insane if I didn’t have cheat days or cheat meals every so often you can also find ways to cheat a little bit cleaner so I love boom chicka pop it’s a healthier alternative than regular popcorn smothered in butter and I definitely still considered it a cheat but it’s still better than the other options that was so bad I’m gonna do that again don’t worry guys I forget my popcorn even this would be like the best snack ever for like a walking really helps you to lose those pounds and I know you may think running helps but walking is just as good as running I like to put on my music and my headphones and just take a little walk I first fell in love with walking when I lived in Moscow for about 6 weeks and I’d always walk through the city I would do it just for fun but in reality I was losing weight and it was a great workout so if you’re confused as to what to eat life some actually has this amazing quiz and it’s a test called the life score test and it helps you to find out how you can get healthier and you get tailored feedback from the experts at life some as to what to eat and it’s structured around your own personal preferences my results stated that I should do classic dieting so it told me exactly what things to eat what not to eat as far as classic dieting goes and there aren’t any off limit foods just focus on how much you eat that’s what I really love about that particular diet eating ice has been a lifesaver for me when it comes to dieting somehow this tricks my brain into thinking that I’m eating a delicious crunchy snack and I can easily make it to my next meal sometimes I’ll just sit at my mix like Crystal Light or even smoothies or low sugar juice to get a little bit more fitness into your everyday routine take the stairs no matter where you’re at whether at school or the mall all calories that you can burn count trust me based on the life’s core test my results say that I should focus on eating healthy to reach my daily calorie goal it tells me how much my calorie goal is get rid of bad foods stack up on healthy things plan your meals and exercises in writing start carrying snacks with you these are all life hacks all by themselves and it also gives you a detailed look at the calories you need to lose speaking of putting things in writing make a list of why you want to lose weight this is really important because if you ever have a weekday where you want to go and eat at McDonald’s take a look at this list and remember why you’re doing this making it to my next meal can sometimes be challenging so to do so I like to sometimes have a cup of coffee or green tea just remember when you do have a cup of coffee or tea that you’re using artificial sweeteners like Splenda or stevia because you don’t want those calories to come with it to reduce high blood pressure as well as bloating and swelling in your body you got to cut down on the salt not only our carbonated drinks filled with sugar that will definitely make you gain weight but they’re also filled with bubbles that are gonna pop in your stomach and they’re going to bloat you stay away from coke life some has this excellent source of information especially when it comes to recipes so if you’re craving chicken you can just search for chicken and it will show you so many delicious recipes featuring chicken that is within your diet plan drinking lots of fiber especially Metamucil is something that I always love to do in order to let that waste come out of me a lot quicker than usual and the less waste in your body the better because that’s going to flatten your stomach and you’re gonna have a lot more energy and I’m pretty sure you can guess exactly what type of waste I’m talking about if you go out somewhere and you don’t want to bring a full meal along with you that you can eat bring sugar free gum with you it’ll definitely help you to make it to your next meal without binging speaking of your daily meals life some has this excellent meal recorder here all you do is you just click on breakfast lunch dinner snacks and then you can either add the food manually or you can scan the barcode of whatever snack or whatever food that you had that day it automatically counts the consume one to two tablespoons a day No well we’re not doing the cinnamon challenge stop but we are going to be smelling some cinnamon because this increases your sense of alertness right before a workout and it kind of motivates and energizes you naturally instead of using caffeine which can later hinder you in weight loss now by saying exercise less here I mean for a shorter amount of time at a higher intensity don’t go on the elliptical for an hour do 15 minutes of crazy sweaty heartrate pounding exercise this is the best kind of exercise you can do for weight loss and there have been so many studies on it and these moves are not qualified so I will link below some actual experts and go check them out and do their HIIT workouts props to you if you’re actually going to do this one but if you have a warm shower for three minutes and cold for 30 seconds it actually relaxed and contracts your blood vessels which helps you sleep which gives you more energy and helps you lose weight it’s just me myself and I solo ride until I die cuz I got me so here’s another natural way to boost energy before a workout and to increase your metabolism it’s to massage your ears so if you’re not feeling up to it massage your ears and who would have thought that that would help you but it does there’s research behind it folks please remember that this video is called weird life hacks everyone can do a bunch of ab and leg exercises and stretches I do this all the time and then it’s easy access for when you’re tired and you want to stop and go to bed heck yes number eight is something I am NOT as into because I get very sensitive to spice but eating spicy foods helps increase your metabolism as well and no that doesn’t mean you can sit there and eat hot cheetos and lose weight you need to eat like hot peppers and hot healthy things you know got my BOB right now I love the tach because I love watching TV so ever commercial break do an exercise for that commercial break do squats for the full five minutes do push-ups for the full five minutes it’ll really just make your lazy time actually productive missed pretty much and lastly but not least we want to wake up with water every single day it’s such an easy step to add to your morning routine that will seriously help boost your metabolism if you have two glasses of ice-cold water every single morning I just realized how ugly
