Diet plans clearly abound. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!

Therefore, when a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. This often takes people back to the drawing board.

It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.

Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On a low-sugar diet, you crave sweets. And let’s not BS ourselves. Food videos are usually pretty darn difficult to resist. 😉

Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.

Makes sense to me. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).

It’s conventional wisdom. As well it should be!

Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.

Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
