Let’s talk…

Diet plans clearly abound. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.

As such, as soon as you’ve decided on a particular diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You might end up back at the beginning of your journey.

Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.

The importance of this cannot be overstated.

Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And there’s really only one reason why…

On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. On a low-carb diet, you tend to crave carbs. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s tell the truth. Meal prep videos are, in many instances, 100% seductive. 😉

But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.

Seems like pretty responsible advice. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.

No doubt that this is conventional weight loss advice. As well it should be!

Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.

Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
